Construction

Housing Enclosure Glass Filled Nylon (GFN) PA66 30% GF (2 x M20 or 1/2" NPT cable entry).  Aluminium alloy ASTM B26 356-T6 (2 x M20 or 3/4"NPT cable entry).  Threaded Connections R 3/4" and 1" BSPT; G3/4" and 1" BSPP; 3/4" and 1" NPT.  Hygienic Connections Tri Clover, SMS, BSPP Fluch Mount, Tuchenhagen, DIN 11851 Flanges to ANSI B16.5 (1.5" or larger) and BS4504 (DN40 or larger), Extended Lengths Available to a maximum length of 3m. Surface Finish Halar Coated (ECTFE) / PFA co polymer. Maximum length 1m.  Hand Polished to better than 0.8um in accordance with EHEDG and 3A

This rugged design of switch is used throughout the process industries. It is available with a wide range of flanged or screwed process connections and can have extensions, enabling the probe to reach 3 metres into a tank if required.

The wetted parts of standard switches are 316 stainless steel but special Halar coated and Hastelloy switches are used for extremely corrosive applications and hygienic probes are available for the food industry.

The switch has visual indication of its on/off status and a test point on the side of the housing to allow an operator to check the function of the switch.

An intrinsically safe and explosion proof version of the switch is available for hazardous areas.
