We not only provide housed, compensated and conditioned pressure sensors but also supply the pressure sensing elements within the pressure tranducers and pressure transmitters. This is particularly suited where space or a budget are limited or where the sensor technology needs to be an integrated part of a system. We can provide sensors based on the following technologies: piezo-resistive, capacitive, thin film and inductance based and with materials such as ceramic, stainless steel and silicon.
Piezo-resistive ceramic pressure sensorLow cost Ceramic pressure sensors with either a monolithic or flush face deisgn, based on the piezo-resistive principle. A variety of outputs are available including mV/V, 0.5 to 4.5V dc ratiometric, 4-20mA and 0 - 10V with onboard signal conditioning.
Capacitive ceramic pressure sensorsCapacitive pressure sensors offer great advantages in terms of thermal stability, repeatibility and long term stability. The other advantages are that they have a very large over pressure capability from a very small measurement range. Pressure ranges start from 60mbar up to 20 bar but have a 5:1 turndown capability!
Silicon pressure sensorsSlicon pressure sensors with exposed silicon diaphragms can achieve very low pressure ranges from as low as 5mbar up to 7 bar. They can also be used in vacuum applications or any application where the media is air or non corrosive gases
Stainless steel silicon pressure sensorUsing a silicon pressure sensor within an oil filled cavity offers media isolation via the stainless steel diaphragm from the media. This is advantageous where the media is a liquid, corrosive or high temperatures. Pressure ranges from 100mbar through to 1000 bar are possilble |
