Low range pressure transmitters are commonly used on air and non-corrosive gases using technologies such as exposed silicon pressure sensors, Inductive pressure sensor or a media isolated stainless steel diaphragm with an oil filled cavity which transfers the pressure to the silicon die. The exposed silicon pressure sensor is bonded to the housing by a means of epoxy or adhesive and is therefore only suitable for air and non corrosive gases. The media isolated diaphragm prevents the silcion pressure sensor being in contact with the media and therefore enables use on liquids and gases, so long as the media is compatible with the stainless steel. The inductive pressure senosr are also for air and non corrosive dry media and can measure as little as 0.1mbar pressure changes! The products mentioned below should cover most application requirements for low pressure sensing. Please consult sales if your requirements are not satisfied by the standard pressure products.

The DMP 343 pressure transmitter uses the DSP 210K silcon pressure sensor which has an exposed silicon diaphragm this enables extremely low pressures of 10mbar through to 1 bar possible. Because of the exposed silicon the sensors may only be used on air and non corrosive gases. A variety of options are available for the output, electrical and process connection.

The DPS ultra low pressure transmitter can be supplied in either Differential pressure, Gauge pressure or Absolute pressure. The DPS uses an inductive pressure sensor which enables pressures from as low as 0.1mbar through to 1 bar. The lower ranges also have a over pressure protection up to 2 bar and auto zero function. Optional LCD display.
